Graphics Package
The task was to develop a fresh visual identity for a podcast show called “Rediteable.” This involved designing a new channel image and creating a motion graphics package that aligned with the show's dynamic and eclectic vibe. Given that the channel's content spans a wide range of topics, the visuals needed to reflect its playful, diverse nature while maintaining a cohesive and engaging aesthetic.
The aesthetic direction I pursued was organic, inspired by the raw and expressive qualities of collages to represent the diversity of topics. I envisioned a layered design where photos and graphic textures interact in a lively, almost tactile way. This approach emphasized the channel's fun and wacky energy, making it memorable for viewers.
For the motion graphics package, I embraced deliberately choppy, stop-motion-inspired animations. This style mirrored the imperfect, handmade feel of the collage aesthetic, adding an element of unpredictability and fun to the visuals.
Since the podcast’s main theme involves commenting on topics from Reddit feeds, I chose a color palette centered around orange as its core color. To complement this, I incorporated colors inspired by traditional Mexican folklore, reflecting the podcast’s origins.
For typography, I combined modern sans-serifs with a touch of vintage styles reminiscent of market sale posters commonly found throughout Mexico. This tied the design into the Mexican theme. Markets are vibrant social spaces, and the podcast serves a similar purpose—a place where listeners can find funny, interesting, or peculiar updates on various topics.
